I may have mentioned her to you all before. Jill is my best buddy here in Denver, and someone I introduced to WoW. She actually had NEVER played ANY game before (besides monopoly, jenga, mahjong, and various other card/board games) and has since become quite fixated on World of Warcraft. She met this guy a while back, hit it off right away, and guess what? He plays WoW! She started a character on his account (I warned her about the account sharing rules . . . ) and quickly began to level a BE mage. Her time on this earth as a non nerd was over.
The relationship with the guy has since ended, and she actually contemplated “using him” for his WoW account! Hilarious I should say. His account was banned recently (he had 9 friends using it . . . tsk, tsk!) , and so she was forced to purchase her own copy of the game in order to play . . . she has now crossed completely over to (dramatic sound effects) THE DARK SIDE!
She started a character on my realm, Auchindoun, and is now trying to convince herself that she doesn’t need to buy the Burning Crusade- that she’ll be perfectly happy with World of Warcraft . . . . I am attempting to tell her otherwise, but, ah well. I think she may just be holding out for a birthday, or the 4th of July . . . or Memorial Day . . . or Christmas. Some excuse for a gift of TBC.
So the moral of the story is, erm . . . that you can share your joy with a RL non-nerd, and it works! Was it because it was a chick telling another chick about it? Was it because Jill had alot of free time on her hands? Or is it simply because I could sell “a ketchup popsicle to a lady with wearing white gloves“. Huh. Not sure. Bottom line though: my buddy Jill now enjoys and shares something with me that I have a hard time explaining to most people, women in particular (they blink blankly in my general direction), and that is just plain cool.
Thanks Jill for becoming a geek with me. See you ingame dude!

Here I am again writing a blog to let you all know I am not dead, ill, or in any way incapacitated or disabled. I am simply too busy to do a show right now
I’ve managed to play WoW a little bit (an hour last night), and Frangelica is almost 36! It is sloooooow progress, but it is progress none the less.
Thank you all so much for understanding, and remaining dedicated Women of Warcraft subscribers, and listeners. It warms my heart to know you all actually care about the show and myself . . . /hug
I am going to attempt to blog once a day until I am able to shoot the vidcast again, so at least you will know a little bit about what is going on- and not assume that I am done/podfaded/dead/WE.
Until tomorrow then! Don’t forget to continue to submit tips (naughty or nice), WoW=RL moments, Dumb Questions, Pimp My Guild, Guild Events, or any other advice/criticism/funny stories that you think I should read. The email address is (in case you have forgotten:)

As many of you learned in the last show or so: Andy and I bought our first house on Monday. I think I explained a little about the amount of work that needs to go into the place before it is livable. It is ALOT of work. Oy!
I haven’t logged in to the game for a while- like a week- and let me tell you how much I miss it!! I miss the community, and friends from the game. I miss the crazy guildies, and learning how to play a mage . . . I miss “attempting” to catch up with my husband in levels, and . . . I miss spending hours at a time exploring, and enjoying the complete immersion of the World of Warcraft.
So, that is the cause, and the effect has been that I have been unable to record, render, and post new vidcasts this week. I attempted to last week, and managed to stick to my goal of Mon/Wed/Fri . . . /sigh I am afraid that has not been the case this week. Thanks for stickin in there.
Blah, blah, blah! I can’t say exactly when the show will be up and on time/schedule again- but I am looking forward to it! (and to the nice bathroom that I will be spending ALL my free time in
)
Cheers!

Women of Warcraft Vidcast has found a new home for video hosting called blip.tv. Andy found it, and we both said “Woot! Upgrade time! Revver has served us well, but the time has come!”
This new host should provide more options for us, and a more reliable “clickable” video for you all to enjoy daily.
Please hang in there as we explore this new option and re-configure the feed and whatnot (you shouldn’t have to change your subscription). There shouldn’t be any huge issues with it, but there may be some hiccups in the system for a little while to come. Please know that they are temporary and easily remedied.
Vidcast #35 is up with http://womenofwarcraft.blip.tv/ already, so let me know if you have any issues or comments so far
Another cool thing is that you now have a new way to access the videos and blogs for the site: http://myspace.com/womenofwarcraft. You should all get on there and add me!
So go check it out!
